BOOK REVIEW1-Aesop's Fables

・The reason I chose
I have read GRIMM'S FAIRY TALES, so I wanted to compare the two books.

・Summary
This book consists of some short stories and each story has the moral. For example, In the story "The ants and the Grasshopper", ants worked very hard for winter even during summer. In contrast, one grasshopper played every day during summer. Winter has come, but then a grasshopper was likely to die because he did not prepare any foods or something for winter. Ants prepared a lot of foods and drinks, so they could bear the cold days. When a grasshopper looked ants, he beged them for some foods, but ants said "You were always playing during summer even though we worked very hard for this winter. You have no choice but spend this winter without any foods or drinks."

From this story, we can learn the importance of saving or efforts.

・Response
When I was an infant, I used to read some Aesop's stories in Japanese. But actually it has been over 10 years since I read the book, so I did not remember each story. I know Aesop's fables are really interesting and useful for me, so I decided to read it again in English. As I expeceted, I did not remember the stories but I could enjoy reading this book.
